Details: 'He enlisted in the East Surrey Regiment in 27 April 1915 as did his 3 other brothers Sidney, Ernest Alfred and William Harry one of them sent this card to Bella [1887 - 1974] their sister. Albert Baker was a Private [Service No: 1182] in the 1st Battalion East Surrey Regiment. He went missing during July 1916 at the Battle of the Somme and was presumed dead 23 July 1916 aged 24. He fell at the Battle of the Somme and has no known grave. '
